A little structure, plenty of room
How to use these questions.
Use these questions for adult passengers, or bring everyone together during a safely parked break. Choose a light opener, a travel story, or an imaginary stop. Real and invented answers both belong here. A passenger handles the screen or cards; the driver does not join or operate the activity while driving. Put the activity away whenever quiet or attention is needed.
Before setting off, choose a passenger to read, or save the activity for a safely parked rest stop. Keep the driver out of the activity while driving.
Read one question aloud, then put the screen or card down. Invite a short answer, a made-up story, listening, or a pass. Nobody needs to take a turn.
Pause whenever quiet is needed. At a safely parked stop, anyone who wants to join can choose another card. There is no timer, score, or need to finish the deck.
A few adult passengers · 2–5 minutes
If a passenger activity is appropriate, read just one prompt and invite optional short replies. The driver does not join. Pause whenever driving needs quiet.
A safely parked group · 5–10 minutes
At a rest-stop table, choose a group of questions and let volunteers answer. Try one story each, then stop when people are ready to move on.
Suggested times are host plans, not results measured with groups. No one needs to finish the deck.
Choose the questions that fit
30 questions. Three ways in.
The online player can mix all groups or draw from just one. These are the same prompts you’ll find in both PDFs.

A few things before you start.
Can the driver join in?
Only once the vehicle is safely parked. While driving, the driver does not answer, read, handle cards, or operate the screen. Passengers should put the activity away whenever it could be distracting.
Will this work without a phone signal?
Save the Letter or A4 PDF to your device before leaving, or print and cut the cards beforehand. The website needs a connection to load; it is not an offline app. A saved PDF can be read with your device's PDF viewer.
Do we have to share real travel experiences?
No. Make up a story, choose a light opener, listen, or pass. No one needs to name a place they stayed or share a personal detail.
Do we need to finish all 30 questions?
No. The player starts with one card. Choose another only if the passengers want to continue, or save the rest for a parked break. Suggested group times are host plans, not measured results.
